Type the text required directly into the text box. To enter data into a text box, either click the left mouse button on the box or use the TAB key to move to the text box, then type in the required text.
For example, you would type your customerÆs Surnames and Forenames into text boxes on the Customer Record.

Drop-down list boxes provide lists of valid entries from which you can select. To show the list of possible selections choose the down-pointing arrow. Then click on the one you require. For example you can choose the Default tax code from the Customer Record's Defaults tab:
 

Check boxes let you select one or more actions from a range of actions. To select or de-select a check box, either position the mouse on the required check box and click the left mouse button, or use the TAB and arrow keys to move to the check box required, then press the SPACEBAR.
The two examples show a checked and unchecked box on the Parameters tab of the Company Preferences window.

All date text boxes have a Calendar button attached. When you choose this button a calendar appears from which you can select the required date. For example:

A calculator button is attached to many numeric data-entry boxes. Choose this button to display a mini calculator to help you enter any numeric values.
 

Command buttons are displayed in most of the windows and windows in your program. Choose the Command buttons to initiate a specific action relating to the data entered or the option selected, for example;
